A&M Books announces the release of "Time Fries! - Aging Gracelessly in Rehoboth Beach" by Fay Jacobs.

This local resident and popular columnist for Delaware Beach Life and Letters from CAMP Rehoboth,  as well as author of the best-selling "As I Lay Frying," "Fried & True" and "For Frying Out Loud," returns with more wise and witty recollections about contemporary life.

Award-winning humorist Jacobs takes on the fight not to act her age, not to go quietly into Medicare, and not to miss any adventures along the way. "Time Fries!" has laughs, heart, and a good look at the past several years in the beach resort. "Time Fries!" is a collection of Fay’s latest columns plus some new, never-published material.

The official book launch and signing will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach. All of the author’s previous publications will be available as well.

Jacobs’ books and articles have gotten her national recognition as well as numerous awards over the past nine years. "Fried & True" won the National Federation of Press Women Humor Book of the Year in 2008 along with awards from the Delaware Press Association and the Golden Crown Literary Society. She received a Bronze Award from the 2010 International Regional Magazines Association and was awarded Book of the Year from the National Federation again in 2011.

Rehoboth Beach historian and author Rich Barnett says of Jacobs’ works, “What I love is how these four books taken together present a social history of LGBT life in one town over 20 years of great change in American society.”

Jacobs has also contributed to The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Delaware Today and Wilmington News Journal. A member of the Rehoboth Beach Writers' Guild, Jacobs also teaches memoir and humor classes for the group.

"Time Fries!"  has a retail price of $17. The new book, plus Jacobs’ earlier books, are available locally at Browseabout Books, Proud Bookstore, and online at Amazon.com among others. They are also available at www.aandmbooks.com.
