Few are worthy to hold high office
We have no one to blame but ourselves for the state of being in Congress today, and that is...we the people have no representation. This applies equally at the state level as wellI. I wish I had an answer for the questions: Why have we let our representatives and senators, Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike, come to be so comfortable with their status that they would even think they could get away with the hypocrisy of exempting themselves from participating in Obamacare?
Why do we let them look us in the eyes, an increasingly rare occurrence, and not show them the contempt and disgust they should experience for their arrogance and indifference. Why did we let them pass a bill, so impactful to our future, that they blatantly admitted they hadn't read? How did we let then Speaker Pelosi state: We have to pass the bill before we know what's in it, and not act on the red flag and lunacy of this revelation.
Until we are represented again, we can only expect more of the same. We must raise the fear factor of our representatives to unprecedented heights. None of them are "good guys" any more, and but a few are worthy of the office they hold. If there is one entiltlement we have as citizens, of which all others pale by comparison and we should demand, it's to be represented. And as a further note, submit this as a registered Independent.
