LEWES — The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire April 10 that they say caused $50,000 worth of damage.

The blaze began about 1 p.m. in the 30000 block of Buttonwood Drive, Edgewater Estates, said Harry Miller, chief deputy state fire marshal. Fire departments from Lewes, Rehoboth and Milton responded to the fire, which in photos appeared to be in the attic.

A neighbor said the homeowner was not home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries.

Investigators are determining the origin and cause of the fire, Miller said.
