The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a dwelling fire early morning Nov. 15 that damaged two South Bethany homes.

The fire began at 3:30 a.m. in the unit block of South Anchorage Avenue, said Chief Deputy Fire Marshal Randall W. Lee.

The two homes were engulfed in flames when Bethany Beach firefighters arrived, Lee said. Millville, Roxana, Frankford and Sussex County Emergency Medical Services also responded.

Damages are estimated at $1 million; no cause has been determined, Lee said. No injuries were reported from the fire.
