First State Dance Academy students receive scholarships

Two Cape Region students received monetary scholarship awards from the Delaware Dance Festival weekend held recently at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington. First State Dance Academy's Katie Fields of Seaford and Allison Wilkins of Milford received the awards to use for their continued dance education after performing and being observed in master classes.

Advanced FSDA students, shown on stage at the Grand Opera House during the Delaware Dance Festival, also performed a classical ballet presented by award-winning choreographer and FSDA Director Michele Xiques. They include, standing (l-r) Kristen Greenly, Tommy Price, Lily Walton, Allison Wilkins, Justin Wilkins, Glory Tucker, Owen Lawson and Liz Nielsen; kneeling, Taylor Hogan, Jill Wilkins, Abbie Gaunt and Katie Fields.
