Fitness Friday: Delayed gratification

The weight loss game is a marathon, not a sprint. In this fashion, it takes a long series of life changes to achieve that perfect weight. Everyone's perfect weight is different. For some, they feel most comfortable at their goal body mass index, but I have always felt comfortable a little heavier than what experts say my target BMI is supposed to fall under. That's just me.
I like to make weight loss fun - because otherwise why would anyone stick to a weight loss plan?
One of the ways to make it fun is to try new things. Try new foods, try new exercises, etc.
Now that summer breezes are stroking the shores of Delaware, one of the new things you could try is kayaking.
There are tons of places to rent or buy kayaks; and plenty of beaches to launch from in Delaware.
Kayaking works your upper and lower body, as well as your arm muscles. It is a great way to see the beauty of coastal Delaware, while getting a workout.
My first kayak trip, while short, left me feeling a bit sore in certain muscles the following day. I look forward to trying it again. And, I hope you give it a try as well.
