Artwork by: Lisa Tyson Ennis "Twelve Poles, Rehoboth Beach" a 2007 toned gelatin silver print edition.

Prudential Gallo Realtors, Gallery 50 Contemporary Art, and exhibition curator and visual artist Michael Sprouse have joined forces to present an exhibit of unique and original contemporary work created by some of the region's leading artists.

In connection with Gallery 50 owner and curator Jay Pastore, Sprouse has selected artwork that offers a dynamic and compelling array of talent from the gallery’s admirable roster of contemporary artists. Now celebrating its sixth year, Gallery 50 is located at 50 Wilmington Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

Featuring more than 10 artists, including Lisa Tyson Ennis, Mickey Freen, Brian Petro, Rob Larson, and Betsy Damos, the exhibition accents individualism and creativity through a selection of artworks that ranges from original photography and mixed-media collage on board to etchings and hand-embellished photo-transfer prints. Each artist chosen for representation in the exhibit specializes in creating unique and captivating work.

The exhibition begins at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at the office of Prudential Gallo, Realtors, located at 37230 Rehoboth Avenue Extended in Rehoboth Beach. The opening reception for the exhibit is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The work will also be on view daily through Monday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday.

This show is the seventh in a series of art exhibitions to be presented by Prudential Gallo Realtors. Subsequent shows will feature original works by local, state and regional artists. A percentage of the proceeds generated by the sale of the artwork will be used to support the Prudential Gallo-Touch of Italy Foundation, whose purpose is to support local charitable organizations and promote the arts in the Cape Region.

Recently, the Prudential Gallo-Touch of Italy Foundation sponsored a concert featured the world-renowned soprano Patricia Racette that benefited the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing and Coastal Concerts. The foundation also offers an annual arts scholarship to a graduating Cape Region High School senior who plans to pursue any area in the performing arts at the university level.
