By Melissa Steele | Jan 17, 2013

A Georgetown man is in critical condition following a single-car accident Jan. 17 in Seaford.

Guy A. Adolphe Jr. was driving a Ford van at 9:45 a.m. westbound on German Road east of Concord Pond Road when he ran off the roadway and struck a tree, said Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

The van spun around and struck another tree before stopping. Adolphe was properly restrained, Fournier said. He was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital before he was transported to Christiana Medical Center where he is in critical condition.

The roadway was closed for about three hours. Alcohol is not suspected in the crash, Fournier said.
