Glenn H. Derrickson, Rehoboth postal worker

Glenn H. Derrickson, 55, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, in Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital.

Glenn was born in Lewes, son of Luella M. (Bennett) Derrickson and the late Howard J. Derrickson.

He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Rehoboth Beach for 25 years.

Glenn enjoyed playing cards and playing with rottweilers. His favorite sports teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

He was a member of Crossroad Community Church and had served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

In addition to his mother, Glenn is survived by his wife of 25 years: Peggy (Holston) Derrickson; a brother: Jack Derrickson of New York City, N.Y., a sister: Myra Hudson of Georgetown; seven nieces; four nephews and his dog, Roxie.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 111 Independence Mall East #411, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
