Cape Henlopen hockey was represented well Saturday, Aug. 30, as Wesley College senior Devin Price and Lynchburg College freshman Karissa LeMaire met with their teams at Scott D. Miller Stadium where the Wolverines defeated the Hornets 2-1 in double overtime.

Lynchburg scored first at 37:43 after a scoreless first half off a corner with Hornets senior Kelsey Link putting it in the back of the cage from Caesar Rodney alum Courtney Gillette. Wesley tied the game at 51:44 with a tally from Lauren Mears off an assist from Smyrna alum Morgan Seymour.

Wesley's Gracie Daniels scored off a two-on-one with 1:37 left in the second overtime off a pass from Meghan Groom to give the Wolverines their first win of the season over 19th-ranked Lynchburg.

Wesley goalkeepers Sarah Daniels and Kayla Fromal made 12 and four saves, respectively, while Lynchburg's Beka Hess tallied four saves for the Hornets.
