Honeycombs feature young talent in Milton concert
Located in the center of Delaware is a gifted musician who gives others many opportunities to express themselves through music. Many students of Honey Voshell of the Drum Pad in Felton have successfully branched out into the performing arts world.
Voshell has witnessed small and big changes with his students. “It is a privilege to see life come to the music abilities of my students,” he says.
Members of the Honeycombs, a band which he started in 1990, still keep a busy schedule of musical appearances throughout Delaware and nearby Maryland venues; its members have also helped develop many successful performing arts students.
On Aug. 6 The Honeycombs invited a budding performing arts student, James Matthew "Matt" Johnson - stage name M-Perfect - to Milton for its Aug. 6 Summer Concert series performance.
Johnson studies under current arts instructors such as Voshell, Eddie Cohee, Mike Kelliher, and Albert Pinkerton - the latter two of B & B Music in Camden. He has also worked under Theater Director Chris Polo in a large-scale musical at the Kent County Theatre Guild.
