Hunting charges issued

The Division of Fish and Wildlife issued hunting charges to area residents recently.

On Feb. 14, agents charged Kay A. Wilkerson, 54, of Frankford with hunting license forgery in connection with an incident involving deer tagging, said Sgt. Gregory Rhodes of the Division of Fish and Wildlife. She pleaded guilty and paid $239 in fines and court costs.

On Feb. 16, agents charged a Sussex County boy with 26 counts of wildlife regulation violations: six counts of possession of unlawfully taken game, six counts of illegal method of take, four counts of failure to tag antlerless deer, four counts of failure to register antlerless deer, four counts of butchering antlerless deer prior to registration and two counts of hunting waterfowl with prohibited toxic lead shot. He was released to the custody of his parents on $6,500 unsecured bond pending a trial in Family Court.

On Feb. 17, agents charged Jason P. Polly, 35, of Georgetown with felony possession of  deadly weapon by a person prohibited and transporting unlawfully taken antlerless deer. He was released on $500 unsecured bond pending a trial at a later date.
