Icy January, salty January

By Dennis Forney | Jan 26, 2014
Photo by: Dennis Forney I like the architecture of the wastewater treatment plant in Lewes. It feels Japanese to me and blends beautifully with the surrounding salt march so iconic for Lewes.

26 JANUARY 2014

COLD JANUARY - It continues.  Icy fields not melting. Roads whitened with salt, thirsty for rain.  People staying inside, streets quiet.

But mostly ice. Today's sunset reflected here and there.  It drew me to the marsh. Nature's beauty never fails me.

Becky said everyone has ice pictures.  Me too.  Here you go.

And another cold week coming.  Sometimes it's cold weeks like this at the end of January that set us up for a blizzard in February.  We'll see.

Canary Creek, near its mouth at Broadkill River, and a dark line of pines, sailing toward the sunset.
