Jane G. Maeby, 81, of Ocean View, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.

Jane Maeby was born in Baltimore, Md., daughter of the late Cecelia and Henry Saunders. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles Donald Maeby; four children, Steven Gerhard and his wife Sharon of Ohio, Ellen Frazier and her husband, Richard of Baltimore, Md., Tammy Taylor and her husband Barry of Shrewsbury, Pa. and Samuel Maeby and his wife Susan Hafler of Old Lyme, Conn.; four grandchildren, Ian Maeby, Alex Cochran, Steven Gerhard Jr. and Shelley Perone; and two great-grandchildren, Joslyn Gerhard and Bria Gerhard.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Millville United Methodist Church, 407 Atlantic Ave., where friends and family may also call after 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at the Millville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Jane’s name to the Millville United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
