Apr 13, 2013
Source: Submitted From 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 13, Heidi Lowe Gallery will host an opening for a new collection of jewelry inspired by urban architecture and made by Amy Klainer.

Heidi Lowe Gallery is hosting an opening featuring jeweler Amy Klainer’s Urban Identity series. The opening will take place from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 13, and the show will be up until Monday, May 6.

“Amy’s jewelry is inspired by urban decay and architecture with exteriors that have been visually manipulated over time,” gallery owner Lowe said. “Her work is reminiscent of architecture, weathering and graffiti, without being obvious. She employs the use of various technological, industrial, fabrication and surface treatment processes, such as laser cutting, 3-D printing and powder coating in tandem with traditional metal-working techniques, such as welding and sawing and piercing, to directly reference the imagery’s architectural source.”
