Joyce Ann Morgereth, 68, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at her home. She was born in Baltimore, Md., Aug. 11, 1944, daughter of the late Esther (Harnstrom) Bundy.

Mrs. Morgereth enjoyed a lifelong career with the Baltimore Sun as a classified advertisement representative. She loved volunteering at the Georgetown Public Library and the Meadows Home Owners Association. Mrs. Morgereth was passionate about reading. She could always be seen with book in hand and had amassed a collection large enough to rival some public libraries. She enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new recipes, while her late husband taste tested each one. Mrs. Morgereth will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend who will be missed by all whom knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgereth was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Joseph Morgereth in November, 2008. She is survived her daughter, Dawn Powers and her husband Timothy of Pasadena, Md.; her son, Vernon Hood and his wife Kimberly of Dumfries, Va.; and three grandchildren: Morgan, Taylor and Ryan Hood.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, Georgetown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Morgereth's name may be made to Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
