Keenote Chorale performs at Rehoboth Beach Bandstand

Nov 02, 2013

The Keenote Chorale, the only local a cappella youth chorus, performed Oct. 26 at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. The singers were the first artists to present music for the Sea Witch Festival. After 12 years of singing as the last performers on Sunday, this was a welcome change.

This was the first gig for the Keenote Chorale this season, and they will be performing at local community events throughout the school year.

They will be in the Lewes Christmas Parade, ringing and singing for the Salvation Army, and for the first time, performing their Holiday Hootenanny with the Milford Community Band at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at the Milford Senior Center.

Children ages kindergarten through high school are welcome to join the chorale. It is open to young singers who have a keen interest in music and learning. With an opportunity to build confidence through weekly rehearsals and concerts, they build musical skills through teamwork and make great friends while reaching out to the community. The chorale has two main groups who often perform together.
