Leora Lynch, Beebe cafeteria retiree

Leora B. Lynch, 91, of Lewes, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at her residence in Lewes. She was born June 14, 1921, in Lewes, daughter of the late William Bryan and Elva Mae (Mitchell) Fisher.

Mrs. Lynch had worked in the cafeteria of Beebe Medical Center, formerly known as Beebe Hospital, retiring after 17 years. She loved watching birds from her kitchen window and was a collector of kitty cat knick knacks, of which she collected many. She also loved to people watch on the beach and boardwalk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Ernest; her son Daniel B. Lynch; two brothers Bill and Robert; her sister Sue Fisher; her daughter-in-law, Amy Crook; and a son-in-law, Gary Millman. She is survived by two sons: Robert E. "Buddy" Lynch and his wife Anna of Franklinville, N.J. and John W. "Jack" Lynch of Lewes; her daughter Marianne Millman; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Henlopen Grange Hall 20, 1528 Savannah Road, Lewes. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lewes Fire Department, P.O. Box 225, Lewes, DE 19958, and/or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 DuPont Boulevard, Millsboro, DE 19966.
