Barry Schneider, left, and Phil Keats help load a U-Haul van Nov. 8 with goods donated by the Lewes community intended for storm damaged communities in Lewes.
An outpouring of goods filled a fire engine bay at Lewes Fire Department Nov. 8. Organizer Debi Fenimore said the community has answered the call for goods for storm-ravaged New Jersey with bags and boxes of clothes, food, blankets, toiletries and water. Volunteers began loading up a U-Haul van Nov. 8; Fenimore said they will continue collecting goods until 3 p.m. Nov. 9. Volunteers will drive the goods to Cape May, N.J. where they will be met by Cape May firefighters who will unload the items and redistribute them to hard-hit areas.
