Lewes High School class of 1963 marks 50th reunion

The Lewes High School class of 1963 recently enjoyed a full weekend of activities in celebration of their 50th reunion. The festivities began at the home of Ed Sheppard and Ruth Connell, who hosted a fantastic get-together. Many friendships were rekindled and special memories recalled.

Saturday evening's activities took place at Irish Eyes in Lewes. The theme of the evening was Memories Are Forever in remembrance of and honoring deceased classmates. A touching DVD was prepared by Dottie Purcell and enjoyed by all. Faculty members in attendance were Mrs. Jane Locke, Miss Carolyn Ivins, Mr. & Mrs. Davis Bame, Mr. & Mrs. Norman Smith and Mrs. Hazel Brittingham.

Before guests departed Sunday morning, a tasty buffet breakfast was prepared for the group at the Creekside Cafe at Old Landing Golf Course.

Class members attending were: Bill Jefferson, Lloyd Purcell, Dick Buckaloo, Jane Porter Coogler, Steve Schroeder, Wayne Norris, Carolyn Adkins Quigley, Wayne Aydelotte, Barbara Cerney, Sam Sloan, Evelyn Nilssen Benson, Mike and Beverly Yarnall Cunningham, John Morgan, Ed Sheppard, Carolyn Foster Martin, Rita Ware Speakman, Karl Munsell, Betty Ann Faust Farris, Tony Hall, Bette Bryant Loffredo, Patty Morris, Jim Hickman, Cathy Brittingham Bakehorn, Allen Roach, Carol Barley Fitzpatrick, Charlotte Hellens Wilson, Sherry Medd Mitchell, Mickey Nagy Vessels, Ron Millman, Bernadette Sing Pierce, Preston Foskey, Nancy Poole Brandt, and Jim Riniker.
