Local businesses donate to 2013 Rehoboth Beach Fireworks Fund

Rehoboth Beach Fireworks Committee Chair Kathy McGuiness, left, happily accepts a $2,000 contribution from Derrick Lingo of Jack Lingo Realtor for the Downtown Rehoboth Beach Fireworks Fund.

Presented by Rehoboth Beach Main Street and Zambelli Internationale, the 2013 show is set to go off at about 9:15 p.m., Thursday, July 4, in south Rehoboth.

Each year, the event is funded entirely by generous businesses, residents and visitors of Rehoboth Beach. It is a collaborative effort of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, the City of Rehoboth Beach, Rehoboth fire and police officials, Delaware State Police, DelDOT, DART, Sussex County EMS, Zambelli pyrotechnical team, the Coast Guard, the State Fire Marshal's Office, Kiwanis and others.Go to for more information.
