Long & Foster welcomes Mollie Vardell to Rehoboth Beach office
Long & Foster Real Estate Inc., the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, welcomes Mollie Vardell to its Rehoboth Beach office. Vardell will specialize in working with home buyers and sellers in both Virginia and Delaware.
“We are very excited and fortunate to have Mollie Vardell join us and look forward to the high quality of service to consumers that she has built a reputation and career around,” said Tracey Espada, manager of the Rehoboth Beach office.
“Mollie’s knowledge of the Rehoboth area is extensive, and she looks forward to helping clients in the Washington, D.C. area find their perfect summer retreat. In addition to Rehoboth, Mollie is knowledgeable in the areas of Lewes and Bethany Beach,” said Espada.
A native Delawarean, Vardell traces family roots more than 200 years in the Sussex County area of Delaware. Raised in Wilmington, she spent every summer growing up in Rehoboth and continues to own property there. Active in the community, in 2012 Vardell won the Hall of Fame Award from the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society in recognition of her years of service. Vardell is also actively involved with the Rehoboth Art League, which celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2013.
“Molly knows the nuances of each neighborhood and can easily explain the qualities of this great beach town fondly nicknamed the nation’s summer capitol,” said Espada. “She looks forward to sharing her knowledge with clients from the Washington metro area including Maryland and Virginia, who may not be as familiar with the Sussex County area.”
Vardell holds membership in the National Association of Realtors, the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors and the Delaware Association of Realtors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from George Washington University at Mount Vernon, Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Long & Foster, Vardell enjoyed a successful 26-year career in commercial architecture and design.
In 1986, she cofounded Lyrix Design with business partner Katie Roberts and led the firm to many awards and national recognition, including being named in the Top 25 Women-Owned Businesses in the Washington, D.C., area for two years in a row by the Washington Business Journal.
