Love Creek RV park opponent off base

By Lewis Newman | Aug 25, 2013

I generally don't get upset with people's letters to the editor but William Bayalla of Lewes doesn't want an R/V park near him so put it at Massey's Landing right next to the state boat ramp and fishing area and also across the street from Massey's Landing Home Park. It's OK in our backyard, but not in his.

I can see the area from my house that will be depreciated drastically. It fits Long Neck, but not in Lewes. As I last looked around I am surrounded by home parks and the water; the nearest RV camping site is on Route 24. I hope  Sussex County Council is not as narrow minded in their decisions

Mr. Newmann,

The opponents to the Love Creek RV park are sympathetic to the RV park proposal for Massey's landing.  Several of us attended the hearings for the Massey's landing project in a show of support and were frustrated and angry that it was passed.  We fully agree with the dangers the additional traffic will have on your area.  We were shocked at the concept your homes were not "dwellings" per the county code.

We all must continue to work together to correct the failings of the current system and replace the ineffective council and P&Z members.  We all will be affected by reduced values of our properties.  We are in this fight together - I am certain the letter you cite meant no ill will to you or your neighbors.
