LRAC appreciates thrift shop support

By The Rev. Jeffrey A. Ross | Feb 28, 2014

On behalf of the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches, I would like to extend to all of the volunteers at our New Life Thrift Shop, our deep and abiding thanks for all of their time, patience and support.  The last year has been one of successful transition and change.  During this time our volunteers have persisted with their dedication and support, and it is deeply appreciated.

In addition, I also wish to thank all those who donate items to the thrift store.  Not only is this an act of good stewardship, preventing waste of our natural resources, but it also it provides affordable items for folks who are in need.  The proceeds from these sales make a tremendous difference in our community.  A large portion of these funds goes to the Community Resource Center.  In this January alone we assisted 90 clients with $19,000 for rent and utilities while also providing a safe warm place for the homeless to hang out during the extreme cold.

Again our deep thanks and appreciation to all of the volunteers at the thrift store and the Community Resource Center for making a profound difference in our community.
