Rehoboth Beach — Delaware Gov. Jack Markell announces his endorsement for Rep. Pete Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth Beach, who is seeking reelection to represent voters in the 14th District, which encompasses Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach.

Markell, left, said Schwartzkopf, center, is a colleague and a personal friend. The governor said he, Schwartzkopf, and Schwartzkopf's grandson, Oliver, right, were the first people to drive across the new Indian River Inlet bridge.

Jack Markell, left, have worked to keep Delaware's unemployment level below the national average.  If reelected, Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth Beach, said he would continue to work with legislators from across the aisle.  "I ask for your vote on Nov. 6," he said.
