Mary Mancuso, Elks auxiliary member

Mary Mancuso, 90, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach. She was born in Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 1922, daughter of the late John and Angeline (Efantis) Kahas.

Mrs. Mancuso was a member of the Cape Henlopen Elks Ladies Auxiliary in Lewes and a volunteer at Beebe Medical Center. Her hobbies included crocheting and making crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Mancuso (2008). She is survived by her two sons: James R. Mancuso Jr. and wife Jacquelyn of Ocean View, and John A. Mancuso and friend Susan Burch of Rehoboth Beach; four grandchildren: Elaine Hutchinson, James Mancuso III, Michael Mancuso and Jerry Mancuso; eight great-grandchildren; her sister Olga Matthews of Silver Spring, Md.; and special friends, Corrine and George Tavenner of Milton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Henlopen Memorial Gardens, Milton.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
