Matt Haley donates bus to Pathways to Success
When Matt Haley met with Pathways to Success Inc. officials in April 2014, he offered the use of his bus to the organization whenever it was needed. For an event planned in June 2014, PTS requested the use of the bus for a day, and Haley responded by stating he wanted to donate the bus to Pathways. In addition, Joe Casey with Clean Green Horizons will be providing the biofuel generated by cooking oil from enterprises like Matt Haley Companies to power the bus free of charge.
Providing transportation to students participating in the program to support educational and cultural events has been a challenge for Pathways due to the cost. Haley’s donation will afford both the youth and families associated with PTS programs many opportunities to expand their horizons.
Some of the Pathways to Success students who attend Cape Henlopen High School and Sussex Tech recently met with Haley to thank him for his generosity and to attend a movie screening at Midway Theaters with Matt Haley Companies employees and their families.
Pathways to Success Sussex County Director Fay Blake said, “What a wonderful gift we have received from one of the most generous people I know!”
Pathways to Success New Castle County Director Pris Turgon said, “So many people will benefit from this donation. Matt Haley has become a true partner of Pathways, and his generosity is a gift to everyone we serve.”
Pathways to Success hopes to be able to share this gift in the future with other nonprofits to pay Haley’s support and generosity forward.
