Matthew Smith & Indelible Grace to perform Oct. 14 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church
Nashville, Tenn.-based artist Matthew Smith and his band will bring their concert of centuries-old Christian hymn lyrics with new melodies to New Covenant Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14, in support of his latest album, "Watch The Rising Day." Advance tickets are available at New Covenant for a suggested $10 donation. Tickets will also be available at the door.
Smith and his band will play hymns from "Watch The Rising Day" and from the artist collective Indelible Grace, to which he belongs. “I love seeing how the beauty and truth of these hymns connects with people, and I hope everyone who comes to the concert will leave with a bigger view of God and His grace,” he said.
In addition to talking about the hymns, Smith will speak on behalf of Compassion International, giving concert-goers an opportunity to sponsor a child. Smith recently traveled to Kenya to visit his sponsored boys. “Seeing firsthand the impact that sponsorship has on the life of Daniel and Twarari, the boys I sponsor, has made me even more excited to share the story of what God is doing through Compassion,” said Smith.
