McGuiness dedicated to Rehoboth

By Peggy Millman | Jul 25, 2014

As a lifelong resident of Rehoboth Beach, I was very pleased to see that Kathy McGuiness is once again running for commissioner; and once again she has my vote. In her previous terms as commissioner, she contributed so much to the city in terms of her vision for and love of the city.

She is dedicated to preserving and promoting Rehoboth’s many assets and protecting the natural environment as well as the beauty and charm of the city. She is an astute listener, a coalition builder and conversation starter, as well as an energetic and enthusiastic ambassador for the city. She is knocking on doors and seeking out public opinion at places like the farmers market, city parks and public events. She is truly concerned about your opinion regarding the aesthetic, financial and environmental issues facing the city.

She knows the issues pertaining to the city inside and out. She worked tirelessly on the Rehoboth Comprehensive Development Plan. The multitude of projects she has been involved in, both during her previous stint as commissioner, as well as her generous volunteer efforts include: Main Street revitalization (including the Bandstand, Boardwalk, and traffic circle); beach replenishment and wastewater treatment improvements; improved communication and technology for Rehoboth property owners; and countless hours contributing her efforts to the Rehoboth Beach Museum, Community Unity Dinners; Fireworks on the Fourth, Main Street and the Rehoboth Art League.

Kathy has left her mark on the city of Rehoboth Beach, and with your vote on August 9, she can carry on with those efforts. She has the commitment and expertise as well as the passion and vision to represent all of the citizens of Rehoboth Beach.

A vote for Kathy McGuiness is a vote in the right direction and a vote for all of us.
