MELT Method instructor shows July 24 how to live a pain-free life
Lynn Davis will teach how to overcome aches and discomfort in her interactive workshop, MELTing Away Chronic Pain, at the Summer Spirituality Series, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, July 24. The weekly presentations are held in the Parish Hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 211 Mulberry St. in Lewes.
Maintaining adequate cellular hydration can be a key to relieving chronic pain. When adequate water consumption and a few simple hand movements are paired, the drug-free pain relief can begin. The miracle of how the human body is equipped to remediate connective tissue dehydration, which is a natural result of daily living, will be the focus of this discussion.
Davis is a certified MELT instructor. She was certified in 2003 by Sue Hitzmann, the creator of MELT Method. Davis wanted relief from chronic pain, and when she could not find a MELT Method instructor, she became one. After enduring more than 500 hours of rehabilitation, she is now pain free and able to enjoy a physically active lifestyle. Davis dreamt of her active retirement while working in the fields of dietetics (RD), finance (MBA), and management consulting.
Each Thursday night through Aug. 28, expert presenters will engage participants in the parish hall of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Fellowship and locally owned King's ice cream will follow each presentation. All are invited to attend these free sessions, which are designed for reflection and dialogue.
In addition to providing spiritual resources for those seeking greater understanding of their own religions, or learning about others, Seekers uses the net proceeds from their store to help those in need, including the Cape Henlopen Food Basket, Doctors without Borders, work in Haiti and Centro Infantil in San Miguel de Allende.
