Milford softball rains down 12 runs on Cape

The Cape softball team moved to 4-6 on the season with a 12-5 home loss to a hard-hitting Milford squad April 29.

Milford senior Katherine Richard smashed a grand slam to pace the Bucs. Freshman Rajene Bowe also added three hits and two runs scored.

Cape senior Alexis Burger recorded two hits and two runs, while freshman Hannah Jones knocked two doubles in the game. Also contributing offensively were freshman Samantha Frederick with a hit and run scored, senior Tiara Duffy with a double and junior Marlee McGinness with two runs scored.

The Vikings host St. Georges Tech at 4:15 p.m., Friday, May 2, before traveling to Indian River for a noon matchup Saturday, May 3.
