Millsboro woman, 77, dies in car crash
A 77-year-old Millsboro woman died April 22 when the car she was riding in crashed into another car.
Frances Baskwill, 75, of Millsboro was driving a 2004 Toyota Matrix south on Banks Road at 9:07 p.m. and was turning left toward Friendship Drive when her car collided with the front of a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu traveling north on Banks Road, said Cpl. John Day of the Delaware State Police.
Baskwill and her passenger, Patricia Murphy, were taken to Beebe Healthcare where Murphy was pronounced dead, Day said. Baskwill had nonlife-threatening injuries to her lower body. The driver of the Malibu, John Albright, 38, of Millsboro was not injured, Day said.
All occupants were properly restrained at the time of the crash. Banks Road was closed for about three hours during the investigation.
