Milton's Danielle Reid and Lewes' Lauren Johnson receive Wesley College scholarship

Danielle Reid, a sophomore media arts major from Milton, received a scholarship at the Wesley College Founder's Day March 19.

The John Pelzer Award was initiated in 1998 in memory of Pelzer by his wife, Wesley professor Dr. Linda De Roche, who is shown at left congratulating Reid on her achievement.

Pelzer was a history instructor at Wesley for nine years. This award is given to a student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who has demonstrated involvement with student media activities.


Lauren Johnson, a junior accounting major from Lewes, received a scholarship at Wesley College's Founders Day on March 19. The Reynolds du Pont Endowed Scholarship was established in 1981 by the estate of Reynolds du Pont, who was a member of the Wesley College Board of Trustees from 1962-1973 and served as chair of the board from 1973-1980. The recipients of this award are selected by the faculty of the business administration department. (Source: Submitted)
