Morgan passionate to serve Lewes

By Dottie and Lou Papp | May 09, 2014

Rob Morgan may be considered the new kid on the block by having lived here full time since only 2008, but he has been passionate since day one to serve the town of Lewes, which now is home. He unsuccessfully ran for City Council in 2012. Since then he has become more determined and involved than ever, attending the meetings of City Council, Parks and Recreation, Board of Public Works, City Preservation and the Library.

He participates on the Lewes Finance Committee and the Lewes Planning Commission. Through these activities, as well as discussions with individuals and communities, he has listened, studied and learned about the many important issues facing our wonderful town. The threat of overdevelopment, sea level rise, climate warming, managing population growth, financial security, proper land use and the preservation of natural resources are key issues associated with our small town. Rob has gained an appreciation for these problems and is ready to work hard and tirelessly on these issues for the good of our city.

Rob may not have as much experience on city planning and state and local governance as one of the candidates, but he does possess probably one of the most important ingredients to being successful….and that is time. Rob is retired and will dedicate full time involvement with the issues. Complex problems require extreme amounts of time and energy that can be focused strictly on resolving the issues and not be burdened by a full-time job with its stress and time constraints, as is the case with one of the candidates.

We strongly recommend that you vote for Rob Morgan on May 10.
