NANTICOKE AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO SIX LOCAL STUDENTS
Nanticoke Health Services recently presented scholarships to six local high school graduates from Western Sussex County who plan to enter the health care field. The six recipients were Ms. Chelsea LeCates, Mr. Priyen Patel and Ms. Alysa Swingle, Sussex Technical High School; Ms. Melissa States, Woodbridge High School; and Mr. Adam Crouse and Mr. Jose Santos, Seaford High School.
Ms. LeCates will be attending University of Delaware with plans of becoming a neurologist. Mr. Patel will be attending the University of Miami to become a physician. Ms. Swingle, who received the first Jill Hickman Nursing Scholarship, will be attending Salisbury University to pursue a degree in Nursing. Also attending Salisbury University is Adam Crouse who plans on becoming a nurse practitioner. Ms. States plans to pursue nursing at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Mr. Santos will be attending Delaware Technical Community College, Owens Campus and plans to pursue a degree in nursing.
