Nanticoke Honors Employees for Service

Dawn Ryan, RN, Employee of the Year

At the recent 2013 Annual Employee Awards Banquet held at Heritage Shores in Bridgeville, Dawn Ryan, RN was awarded Nanticoke Memorial Hospital’s Employee of the Year.  Each month Nanticoke Health Services awards one deserving employee the title of Employee of the Month. Of those twelve employees for 2012, Dawn Ryan was named Nanticoke’s Employee of the Year.  Dawn Ryan is an emergency department nurse who has been with Nanticoke Health Services for over 20 years.  She is a great asset and a sought-after resource amongst her peers.

Also, awarded at the Annual Employee Awards Banquet for the first time, the Magis Award was given to an employee who has helped the community through volunteer work.  Linda Hoag, BSN, from Nanticoke’s Day Surgery Unit was presented with this award. Linda gives many hours outside of the Nanticoke Day Surgery unit, volunteering for both Nanticoke sponsored events and as well as many other community events. This award is also known as the Employee Caring for the Community Award.  Nanticoke is honored to have such giving individuals as Linda as a member of its team.

Another award recipient at the Annual Employee Awards Banquet was Leola Tingle for her 40 years as an NHS employee.  Having joined Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in 1973, Leola Tingle has worked in the Environmental Services Department her entire time at Nanticoke Memorial while working in the Radiology area for the last 15 years.
