New Life: Right course, wrong course?

By Karen Yancy | Nov 03, 2013

For Ms. Laux to write that New Life Thrift Store is on the right course seems to imply that it has been on the wrong course in the past. How could the wrong course have earned in one year more than half a million dollars for those in need in our community?

Yes, there probably is a need for more volunteers because so many of those who have spent years of their time and hard work at New Life Thrift Shop have been driven away. There are 18 that I can name off the top of my head.  When people give freely with their time and skills they should be coveted and treated with respect.  They do not deserve to be falsely chastised in public by a member of the clergy for caring about New Life Thrift Store. The question is why do those in charge want all new volunteers?  The Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches thinks we elderly volunteers need an exorcism for telling the truth.

Sadly a former volunteer,
