Rehoboth Beach to meet April 2

The Rehoboth Beach commis­sioners will hold their regular meeting at 9 a.m., Monday, April 21, in the city commissioners’ room to provide a status update on the citywide reassessment.

The meeting will include a status report on the newly ex­panded no smoking initiatives set to take effect Thursday, May 15.

In new business, the commis­sioners will consider adopting a resolution setting a public hear­ing on an ordinance further defining the width of a lot when determining if and how much to increase the side-yard setbacks on lots with more than 52.5 feet of street frontage and a lot area of 5,250 square feet.

The commissioners will con­sider authorizing the execution of a lease with Verizon Wire­less to establish a cell site at the city’s Lincoln Street elevated water storage tank. Finally, the commissioners will consider authorizing a new four-year col­lective bargaining agreement with the Teamsters Union on behalf of the city’s full-time po­lice officers.

Milton to discuss waste­water plant upgrades

Milton Mayor and Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 21, at the Milton Public Library.

Agenda items include a presen­tation on wastewater treatment plant upgrades by Tidewater Utilities; a possible vote on geo­thermal loop well systems; a possible vote on amending a section of town code related to property taxes; and Cannery Village’s punch list, develop­ment standards and subdivision approvals.

The panel will discuss the Shipbuilder’s Village water tower foundation including a possible vote to approve substantial re­pair expenses; a security fence contract award for town drink­ing water facilities; Holly Lake project site plan extension; and comprehensive plan progress.

Mayor and Town Council will hold an executive session to dis­cuss the content of documents excluded from the definition of public record in state law, includ­ing records with trade secrets, confidential/privileged, commer­cial, or financial information; or exempt from public disclosure by common law. Executive sessions are closed to the public. The panel will return to open session to discuss and possibly vote on the matter.

Milton offices closed

Milton Town Hall will be closed Friday, April 18 in obser­vance of Good Friday. Town hall will open at 8:30 a.m., Monday, April 21.

Lewes City Hall, BPW closed April 18

The offices of Lewes City Hall and the Board of Public Works will be closed Friday, April 18 in observance of Good Friday. Offices will reopen with normal hours Monday, April 21.

Lewes Parks & Rec meets April 21

Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, April 21, at city hall. The group will discuss a possible landscaping and hardscaping restoration project in 1812 Park and the consideration of a me­morial plaque to be installed in Zwaanendael Park to honor the late Charles Wilson Futcher. Commissioners will also consid­er a request from aspiring Eagle Scout Collin Sullivan to create a garden with a memorial plaque to honor fallen heroes.
