Sussex County Council meeting on June 10

Sussex County Council will meet at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, in the county administra­tion building on The Circle in Georgetown. Included on the agenda is a discussion on the definition of a dwelling in county code. See a complete agenda at sussexcountyde.gov.

Rehoboth board to meet June 9

The Rehoboth Beach com­missioners will meet at 9 a.m., Monday, June 9, in the city com­missioners’ room, to hear a presentation by representatives of PTA/DelVAL, the city’s reas­sessment firm, on the methods, procedures and findings of the reassessment. The commission­ers will also discuss and decide the procedures for hearing and determining appeals of the as­sessment, and set the dates and times of appeals.

Rehoboth city hall task force to meet June 9

The Rehoboth Beach City Hall Complex Master Plan Task Force will meet at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 9, in the city commission­ers’ room, to discuss components of the new city hall design and establish the next step in the process. The city’s architect will discuss the site design, structural engineering and construction costs before the task force will establish its tasks moving for­ward.

Dewey planners holding sea level rise workshop

The Dewey Beach Planning Commission is holding the third of three workshops/public hear­ings on zoning changes related to increased coastal flooding and sea level rise at 1 p.m., Sat­urday, June 7 in the fourth floor conference room of the Gold Leaf Best Western, 1400 Coastal Highway. Dewey investment committee to meet

The Dewey Beach investment committee is meeting at 11 a.m., Sunday, June 8 in the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station, 1 Dag­sworthy Avenue. The committee will be discussing the investment policy that will be presented to council and what the next steps will be if it’s approved by town council. Lewes City Council meets June 9

Lewes Mayor and City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, June 9, at city hall. Among items be­ing considered is the purchase and implementation of Park Mobile, a smartphone app that allows visitors to pay for parking by credit card on their mobile phone.

Representatives from Chesa­peake Utilities will be on hand to provide an update on the status of natural gas service in the city.

Council will vote on accepting a final report from consultant Rebecca Quinn that offers rec­ommendations to improve the city’s coastal storm and flood preparedness and regulations. Members will also vote on fu­ture acceptance of the 2012 International Building Code and International Residential Code, as recommended by Quinn in her report.
