Online Heart Gallery features Delaware children ready for adoption

Sisters Zyann and Tyanna featured during month of November
Nov 15, 2012

On any given day, there are approximately 50 children in Delaware waiting for an adoptive family. Each child is unique and in need of the love and support that a family can best provide. Every month, portraits of children currently available for adoption in Delaware are highlighted in the online Heart Gallery, on the Delaware Children’s Department website.

The Heart Gallery shows a picture and a brief story for each child who is looking for a permanent home to call their own. November is National Adoption Month, a time to raise awareness of adoption services in Delaware. This month, two sisters are being featured in the Heart Gallery.

Born in 2000, Zyann is friendly, eager to please and a very social girl. She loves singing, dancing and pretending to be a model.  Zyann also enjoys going to church on Sundays, braiding hair and spending time with her younger sister Tyanna. She will do anything to please her and, like many big sisters, is protective of her. Zyann receives outpatient therapy to help her work through behavioral challenges and educationally, she has an IEP. Still, Zyann is a leader. She is a strong and happy girl.

Born in 2002, Tyanna, like her sister, loves singing and dancing. She is a sociable girl and seems to make friends easily. Tyanna also enjoys getting dressed up for church. She is a follower who really looks up to her older sister. Tyanna also has an IEP and receives outpatient therapy services for her behavior, as well as weekly tutoring for her schoolwork.

Zyann and Tyanna are engaging, friendly girls who should remain together. They would do very well with a permanent family that is patient and will love them unconditionally.
