The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre returns to the Delaware beaches for the 33rd season of sparkling family plays. From Neverland to Wonderland, from desert sands to circus sawdust, theater goers can travel a path lined with adventure, action and fun. "Peter Pan" opens the series Sunday, June 29.

Then one by one each play joins the schedule. "Alice in Wonderland" premieres July 1. "Aladdin" starts July 6. These well-loved classics will be followed by an original musical comedy, "Little Goldy and the 3 Riding Bears," which takes the stage for the first time on July 16. The four shows rotate throughout the summer through Aug. 26.

The performances of RSCT take place in two locations. Audiences in downtown Rehoboth can enjoy Sunday evening shows at the Clear Space Theater. On Tuesday evenings and Wednesday and Thursday mornings plays are performed in Epworth Methodist Church just off Highway One near the Seaside Outlets.

"Peter Pan," "Alice in Wonderland" and "Aladdin" are staged in the unique, two-actor format that has been delighting family members of all ages since the first RSCT show in 1982. Imaginative staging, lightning-quick costume changes and a lively sense of humor are the hallmarks of these spirited shows. Audiences will be amazed as two performers bring the familiar stories to life.

"Little Goldy and the 3 Riding Bears" combines the stories of "Little Red Riding Hood," "The Three Little Pigs" and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" into one musical play. When Little Red is sick, her sister Little Goldy must bring the goody basket to Granny. On her way she encounters a band of tricycle riding bears practicing their stunts for the circus and a trio of fugitive pigs recently escaped from the pen, while a not-so-big, not-so-bad wolf repeatedly tries to grab the basket of treats. The catchy tunes are provided by James Scully. Elise Seyfried has added the clever lyrics. Steve Seyfried blends it all together with an outrageously funny script.

The complete schedule can be found at www.rehobothchildrenstheatre.org. Tickets to all shows are $10. They can be purchased by phone at 302-227-6766 or through the website. The Clear Space Theater is located at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth. The Epworth United Methodist Church is at 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth, and features plenty of free parking.
