Pets Hurt By Economy

By Kevin Usilton | Nov 05, 2012

This poor black lab suffered long term neglect when her owners lost both their jobs, and are now about to lose their house in Seaford.

Rather than reaching out to get assistance of food, support or veterinary care,  the owners suffered emotional stress in silence, and thereby caused their two dogs to go hungry for days.

When the two dogs fought over food, this poor lab lost her eye.  Since no funds were available for veterinary care, her eye was permanently damaged.

This dog was surrendered to the KCSPCA this weekend.  We will supply her with groceries to gain her weight back, provide medical care to ensure she isnt suffering, and eventually place her up for adoption.

The KCSPCA encourages everyone who is suffering from the economy to reach out for assistance for their pets.  Thanks to our donors we can provide support to help in times of trouble.
