Rehoboth Beach artist Terry M. Isner will exhibit his new show “PEZtography” at CAMP Rehoboth on Baltimore Ave., in Rehoboth Beach Saturday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m.

“For this show I put the brushes down and grabbed my camera. PEZ has been a focus of mine for an acrylic and canvas series I have been working on for years and while working on the concepts for the paintings I used photography to test different ideas. PEZtography is a group of those photo concepts stylized and mounted on wood platform canvases,” said Isner.

Isner’s work is inspired by music, social events, and pop culture, and he describes his work as folk-pop-art. “I love to intertwined the commercial world with graphics, toys, fonts, colors and shapes for whimsical story telling,” he said.

There are 18 pieces in the show ranging in sizes from 10 inches by 10 inches to 12 inches by 18 inches and mounted on wood panels. With titles like “Mary Jane is in trouble again,” “PEZbian Wedding” and “PEZushi,” there will be a lot of smiles at the show.

This is Isner’s fifth solo show and his second at CAMP, where last summer his “Little Pink Houses” show sold out. CAMP Rehoboth is no stranger to the local art world, and hosts monthly shows that Isner helps curate, in addition to exhibiting his work.

Isner has donated several pieces over the last 10 years to CAMP’s fundraising events such as HeART of the Community and Sundance. Isner has also donated his work to several other fundraising events, including the American Heart Association and the Chris O’Brien Foundation.
