The Delaware Physical Therapy Association held its annual Sussex County meeting in Rehoboth Beach. The speaker, Dr. Grace Keenan Ademski, assistant professor at the University of Delaware, provided local physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students with updated clinical information on Vestibular Therapy and Applications for Dizziness. The meeting was well attended by clinicians from all over Delaware and Maryland.

The DPTA represents more than 350 physical therapists and physical therapist assistants throughout the state. Its purpose is to improve the health and quality of life of individuals through the advancement of physical therapist practice, education and research. In Delaware, patients can make appointments directly with physical therapists, without a physician referral.

Learn more about conditions physical therapists can treat and find local physical therapists by visiting www.APTA.org under Find a PT.  For information on the DPTA go to www.dptaonline.com.

George Edelman, president, chaired the event; it was hosted by MX Physical Therapy in Rehoboth Beach and Edward Pardocchi of EMSI, the Sussex County representative.
