The Upper Crust, 7 East Market St. in Georgetown, will exhibit plein air artists Gerilyn Gaskill and Pamella Bounds-Seemans, along with Keith Steck, photographer, who captures moments in the open air, starting July 8.

The public is invited to a Meet the Artists reception from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 19. There is no charge, and light refreshments will be served. The exhibit will run through the end of July.

A recent plein air event which raised funds for the Kody's Kids organization was held on The Circle in Georgetown and provided the artists with a number of rich and colorful historical designs to which they provided individual styles. Gaskill completed her piece in oil, while Bounds-Seemans used watercolor and acrylic.

The Upper Crust serves made-from-scratch baked goods, fair trade organic coffee, breakfast and lunch in a casual setting. Part of The Upper Crust’s commitment to the community is to offer a gallery space to local artists who might not otherwise have an opportunity to show their works. Contact Bruce at bruce@theuppercrust.info or 302-856-2300 to schedule a time to stop in with images of work for approval and possibly schedule an exhibit date.
