Police investigate double murder near Long Neck

Cause and manner of death not yet determined

Millsboro — Police are investigating what they have called a double murder after the bodies of two men were discovered inside a home in the 28000 block of Harmons Hill Road south of Harbeson, near Long Neck, shortly after 1 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Police said the bodies of William Hopkins, 27, of Millsboro and Cletis T. Nelson, 29, also of Millsboro,  were discovered by a family member of Nelson, who called police.

Preliminary evidence shows no sign of forced entry, police said, and there are no suspects.

The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death.

Police continue to investigate; anyone with information is asked to call Detective Fred Chambers at 302-388-0196.
