Police: Masked man steals 20 handguns from hardware store
Delaware State Police are searching for a man they say broke into an Ocean View hardware store Nov. 6 wearing a mask and stole 20 handguns.
The man broke in through the back door of G&E Hardware on Cedar Neck Road at 8:16 p.m., said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.
Surveillance camera recorded the man smashing a display case of handguns. The man took 20 handguns of various calibers and fled on foot, Fournier said.
Police describe the man as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10-inches tall, 125 to150 pounds, wearing a black coat, yellow-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black boots and a camouflage mask.
