Delmarva Poultry Industry Inc. announces the opening of its 2013 College Scholarship Program. Applications are being accepted for undergraduate and graduate scholarships that will be awarded to residents of the Delmarva Peninsula in the amount of $1,500 or more.

Undergraduate applicants must be Delmarva residents and students in good standing at any accredited, degree-granting institution in the United States, or in the case of graduating high school seniors, be accepted to an accredited, degree-granting institution within the United States. Individuals must have academic majors in subject areas relevant to Delmarva’s poultry industry and be planning careers in a segment of Delmarva’s poultry industry. A transcript must accompany each application.

Graduate student applicants must meet the above criteria, and the individual must be engaged in research that directly benefits Delmarva’s poultry industry.

Although an applicant is not required to have a family member or a family business that is a DPI member, extra points will be awarded to those with DPI connections. Previous recipients, if still eligible, may reapply.
