The Galleries at 20 Baltimore is exhibiting its studio artists' original works that portray familiar sights from downtown Rehoboth Beach.

Artist Karen Apostolico has recently completed a streetscape of the head of Rehoboth Avenue titled, "Waiting for the Crowds."

Gallery artist Laverne MacIntyre has done several paintings of the Boardwalk benches that locals and visitors have sat on for crowd watching while munching on Thrasher's fries. Joyce Blakeslee's "Rehoboth Surf" keeps memories of sunny, sand-filled days alive in the off season.

Also featured are works by artists Rose Doster, Carolyn Council and Sherry Surratt, which include scenes of locally iconic establishments and the historic towers at Cape Henlopen State Park.

The opening reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10.

The exhibit will hang in The Galleries at 20 Baltimore until the end of the month.
