Rehoboth Concert Band thanks supporters
On behalf of the Rehoboth Concert Band and Chapter L, P.E.O., we would like to thank the community for its overwhelming support of the benefit concert held March 9. The near-capacity crowd was enthusiastic and generous in its support, which the performers truly appreciated.
Special thanks to guest soloists Peggy Raley and Eddie Sherman, and to emcee Jerry Birl, for donating their services to this charity event. Thanks to Epworth United Methodist Church and sound technician Kenny Mahan for being gracious and cooperative hosts.
Thanks to The Debbie Reed Team of RE/MAX Realty Group for serving as event sponsor; to the Cape Gazette for helping to promote the concert; to Browseabout Books and the Cape Henlopen Senior Center for assisting with ticket distribution; and to Sign-A-Rama for signage.
We would also like to thank Dan Klemkowski and Jake’s Seafood Restaurant for hosting an after-concert benefit dinner at the restaurant. Those participating enjoyed good food, terrific service and a fun end to a great afternoon.
The bulk of the concert proceeds benefitted P.E.O., a philanthropic educational organization. The funds raised will provide qualified women candidates with scholarships and low interest loans to help them achieve their educational goals. More about P.E.O. can be found at www.peointernational.org.
Again, we especially want to thank the audience who shared their afternoon and their love of music while supporting a most worthy cause. Keep apprised of upcoming Rehoboth Concert Band performances by logging onto the band’s website at www.rehobothconcertband.org.
